...my "babies" Kia (dog) and Zach (cat). They are both in the vet hospital because they won't eat. Zach was at the vet's for 2 days earlier in the week because he couldn't go to the bathroom, and now he's not eating. We took them both to the vet's today and the docs still don't know what's wrong with them. I hope they can get them to eat and figure out what's wrong so they can come home soon. I hope you don't think I'm silly requesting prayer for our pets, but they're my babies....
Also, one of my students, a 17-year-old guy, is having his colon removed on Monday. He's nervous and his family is worried, too, so please pray that the surgery will go smoothly and he will recover quickly. And, that his mom and family will not worry but trust Jesus to be the ultimate healer.

I'm so sorry to hear about Kia and Zach, and I understand about them being your "babies," so I don't think it's silly at all. Also praying for your student. That will be a huge life change!
Thank you for your prayers! Zach came home today and acts like he's feeling better, but he hasn't started eating his new prescription food. He's very picky. Also, they found something on Kia's x-rays and are probably going to keep her over the weekend. It could be nothing or it could be a tumor.
As far as my student goes, I don't know what will happen after the surgery. His mom and aunt have had the same surgery, so hopefully they will be able to help him cope. I can't imagine being that age and having to go through with that. He's been having colonoscopies (?) since he was 13! Thanks again for your prayers!
Does your student have Crohn's?
Keetha, I don't know what Crohn's is, so I don't know if he had that. His mom said he was full of polyps (sp?) and they were removing it before he got cancer. I tried to call tonight to see how he was doing, but I had to leave a message.
Crohn's is a really nasty intestinal inflammatory disease (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crohn's_disease)
It is a very difficult disease to control and sufferers often have to have part of their intestinal tract removed.
I hope your student doesn't have it - - - and that he responds well to this surgery.
