Happy Birthday to me!

Saturday was my birthday, and I got to celebrate it with my sister, Kari, my mom and my aunt. We went to a 12-hr scrapbook crop! Here are some pictures of our day. And yes, they gave me a "Happy Birthday" ribbon that I had to wear all day!My mom, being the creative one, wrapped one of my presents in a flannel shirt! Less waste that way! Aunt Jean is working hard on one of her very first scrapbook pages ever! They turned out really good!
Here I am showing off my new birthday presents from Kari.
Mom is working on her Washington, D.C. pictures from an 8th grade trip with her school.

Kari taught us how to make flip-flops in a Make-It Take-It class. She did a great job! Mom, Aunt Jean and I weren't very good students. We kept taking pictures which got us behind the rest of the class.

Left to right: Aunt Jean, Mom (Joan), Kim, and Kari.

It sure was fun! Now I want to crop some more. I have to get my quilt top put together before I can get my things out, though. I can always organize my photos on the computer, though. :)

Looks like you had a great time. Maybe sometime I'll eventually get our pictures up-to-date. You'll have to come give me a lesson or two to refresh my memory.

Anonymous - - - she won't be able to help you if she doesn't know who you are!!!

Wow girls - - - looks like you had lots of fun. I'd be taking pictures for my blog too!!!

Is your mom a twin??? She sure looks like her sister, or the sister looks like her.

PS - - - WHERE was this scrapbooking event? Did you all meet up somewhere in the middle?

Yes, mom is a twin. :)

We met in Wilmington, OH. Mom's twin, my aunt, lives in Cincinnati.

Mom and A. Jean are twins....Jean and Joan. :) Their other sister, Carol, used to be Jane, (Jean, Joan, Jane) but didn't want to be like the twins so she started going by her first name. (All of the "J" names are middle names.)

Happy Belated Birthday! I'm glad you were able to escape the "snow bound south" to get together with family!

Did you happen to be in Charleston, SC this weekend? Someone visited my blog from there - - - just wondered if it was you.

Kim and Mike said...

Nope, it wasn't me.

I just noticed something... I'm the tallest in the group! I probably weight the most, too.

Well, at least you have a really good reason! :)
