EPISD canceled school on Thursday because of threatening weather Friday. Friday it rained. That's it. Nothing froze. Roads weren't impassable. We laughed. EPISD got a lot of criticism for wasting a perfectly good school day!
Yeah, we're laughing about this one, too. We barely got 1" of snow and no freezing rain. However, it is sprinkling right now and the temperatures may drop to freezing tonight, so we have a 2-hr. delay tomorrow. :)
When I first lived in SC, going to SWU which was CWC then - - - they canceled school for an ENTIRE WEEK (not the college, public school) for a snow that size. I was totally mystified!!!

Do you still use teen bus drivers down there? That was always PART of the reason for so many cancelings when we lived there.
No, thank goodness, we do NOT use teen drivers. Imagine how horrible it would be especially with today's teens!
OK, that's crazy! But I understand why the do it since everyone is not use to driving in even that much white stuff. :) Hope you enjoyed your time off.
