Thr3e

Since Kari is upset that I haven't written anything in awhile, here goes......(I've just enjoyed reading and commenting on everyone else's blogs!) We went to see the movie Thr3e tonight which is based on a book by Ted Dekker. I had never heard of Ted Dekker until Mike wanted the new Frank Peretti book for Christmas which was co-authored by Ted Dekker. It was a good movie! It comes out in theaters Friday night. (We managed to get free tickets to this early-bird showing through our Christian radio station, WBFJ. By the way, how do you get those cool links to show up like Robin and Kari do? Ok, so now how do I get the underline off?) Anyway, it's a suspense movie which is PG-13, probably for the "violence" and suspense. Young children should not go see it. We were in a theater filled with teenagers from the Salvation Army Girls and Boys Clubs. Needless to say, it wasn't really quiet during the movie, but I still managed to get into it. :) The suspense was so good that Mike even jumped during one part. I don't want to give away the plot, but this is about how it starts out. Imagine that you're driving down the road and you get a private call on your cell phone. When you answer, someone on the other end says to call the local newspaper and confess your sin. If you don't, your car will blow up in 3 minutes. You wonder if it is a crank call or a serious one. So, you pull over into an empty field, grab your cell phone and run, then your car blows up! Wow! The story did have a great ending! Mike and I were both guessing "who did it" and we were both wrong! (Mike isn't usually wrong.) We really enjoyed the movie and can't wait to read the book. The movie is worth seeing. What other movies are out there that are good but not full of filth?

What is a "crank" call?
To get the cool links like KARI does, edit HTML when you are writing the post. There's a button to insert a link.

The movie sounds good! We recently saw The Pursuit of Happyness, which we both enjoyed. Actually, it was a compromise since I wanted to see something funny and Barry wanted to see Rocky. But it was worth it!

I wish I knew how to make a links list on my blog - - - - - but not techno savvy enough for that.

A Crank call is just that... like prank... someone calls you up and turns your crank (like the model T), twists your leg... plays a joke... it works down here..

We went today for our date night and saw
WE ARE MARSHALL! It was very good. I wasn't quite sure what I would think of Matthew McConahay(I know that is totally not spelled right) in a serious movie, but he did well. It was much better than what the critics gave credit for. I highly recommend.

Kari - - - are you serious, you didn't know what a crank call was???

Too funny.

What is the move WE ARE MARSHALL about? I haven't heard about it yet.

Up here we say "prank" :)
I don't know how to get the underline off. I don't think mine does that.

"We Are Marshall" is a movie based on the true story of the bulk (or maybe all) the Marshall Football Team members being killed in a plane crash, and the rebuilding of their team/morale afterwards.

I really want to see it. The previews look good to me, plus I am a football fanatic. (Though I think this movie has a whole lot more to the story than just football)
